The Paleface Parabola

Show Notes

Sinners and saints alike, have a seat at the table of Jerry’s holiday camp.

We don’t however camp it up on this programme. It's a two-hour informal run towards radio fortune and glory and a sharing, like we did in the old days, of music the Mystery Man and I think you might like to hear.

To that end, and we’ll post the full playlist on our social media page tomorrow, here’s a prelude to our caper. This includes the likes of Coltrane and Brother Ray, and a kid from Freehold, and the Crescendos, and Barrence Whitfield & the Savages. The Mystery Man’s hit of the week is simply nifty.

Victory might be ours.

I went for an IV of iron this week as I’m anaemic. I was told it would take six to eight weeks to take effect. Hmmm... So why was I able to lift a car today with no help, I wonder.

This bruised warrior is this post away from piling up the zzz’s, aka achieving a nocturnal night move, aka sleep. It was a beautiful autumn evening to make radio noise for your entertainment dollar on this Wednesday, October 15. So we did.

Being but a pawn in game of life... I humbly arrive at your feed to tell the countryside AND yourself to carve out two hours of time, and to spend that time with the Mystery Man, our behind the scenes team, and me.

You are trouble bound this week, you fans of the Paleface Parabolic romp and stomp. We arrived at Studio A with an agenda of escape for the oppressed and the well to do alike. It's a tightrope walk, this radio hosting predicament is. You can’t see the audience reaction to what you the host is portraying as entertainment. Every week is a tabula Rasa way of dealing the cards. This week it was musical hopscotch and no other description makes sense. Well, maybe mayhem would work. The Small Faces, The Shufflers, Ron Carter & Ricky Dillard, The Stepkids, and Ronnie Earl & The Broadcasters stepped up and earned their keep AND there’s more at the door and the Mystery Man vis a man named Conlan did the Tango to complete our journey. Cmon if yer comin!
