Fool in the Rain, The Fool on the Hill, Ship of Fools, What a Fool Believes, Fool for the City, Everybody’s a Fool, Fool if You Think It’s Over, and Fool in Love. Every fucker and their dog seems to have a fool song for the love of gods! Well, Queen wrote one. Kinda. Brian wrote one actually, and he wrote it in his dentally-inclined pre-Qeen musical project, Smile; a band that had a dashingly handsome drummer and then two other blokes who history has been far less kind to!
This week's episode covers the B-side to Seven Seas of Rhye. It's an old Smile song that the boys dusted off and tried to add a lick of paint to and it's called "See What a Fool I've Been"
If Kev were to title this podcast, he’d probably call it “Well she’s gone, gone this morning” or possibly, “Maybe she’ll be back in time for tea”
NOTE: Skip forward to 8:01 if wanna get straight into the manifestations and wheel spin.
The music at the end of the episode is the lead track off Randy's last album. Soul Hammer and it's titled "Alphabet City". Randy of course grew up in a place where letters were outlawed and only numbers were ever used. Alphabet City was the underground club that he and his rag tag gang of lexical lawbreakers would head to every Thursday night to play ilicit scrabble tournaments! He wrote this song in honour of those halcyon days! https://youtu.be/5Nd4pBsvrwc

More from Seaside Pod Review (A Queen Podcast)
There was young fella named Freddie Who died long before we were ready He gaves us some tunes and we podcast buffoons Have talked for four years now already!
B B B B B B Side! Today we cover an actual bona fide B Side. Not a track that was unearthed twenty years later and slapped onto a deluxe edition. Not a song with another singer from a super famous couple of rock bands and not the seaside we like to be beside. It's another track from the The Miracle sessions and it was almost twelve minutes long in its original form! It's a light-hearted little Freddie jam that was cut up and put on the flip side of the Breakthru single. You might like it. You might not.
Seaside Pod Review does not condone booking a bus trip down to Brighton to meet your secretary in some seedy little bed and breakfast two streets back from the front behind your wife, and her husband's back and having it off like a couple of hippies in the 60s! No. We recommend you stick with your partner and only do it to them. Preferably with the lights off and your socks on. Remember, Jesus is watching your spotty white arse as it goes up and down arhythmically for 4 to 6 minutes and he's not gonna be impressed if you're pumping anyone other than the person you promised to pump exclusively in one of his ornate dwellings. Don't make Jesus cry. What's wrong with you?!
The last two non-Queen songs we've covered were Billie Holiday and Dolly Parton. This week's song is not like either. If you're easily offended by dark lyrics in a comedic/novelty punk-techno song that borders on poor taste, then this one likely isn't for you. We knew nothing about the band TISM and we're not sure we know a whole lot more now we've listened to then, but any way you wanna cut it, these guys are different! Very different.
Another album bites the dust as we finish up Jazz and leave ourselves with only three songs on the wheel! There are more dismissals from the minifestations gauntlet of death and Randy inquires as to how Kev fared when he recently ventured out of his basement and into the wider world. There's also some chat about Iron Maiden and why we tend to go back to listen to things we've heard a million times before.
