This week on ROC Solid, we tappin’ in with none other than Bink! — A man whose fingerprints are all over some of the most timeless records in hip hop history. Known for his soulful yet hard-hitting production, Bink! helped shape the sound of Roc-A-Fella’s golden era, lacing classics for JAY-Z, Freeway, Beanie Sigel, and more. His signature style—heavy drums layered with rich samples—made him one of the most respected names behind the boards, and in this episode, he pulls back the curtain on his journey. Bleek and Bink! chop it up about the early days of Roc-A-Fella, how those iconic studio sessions came together, and what it took to stand out as a producer in an era full of giants. From breaking down the making of JAY-Z’s The Blueprint to sharing untold stories about the Roc family dynamic, Bink! gives fans an inside look at the grind, the glory, and the game. He also touches on his continued influence today, producing for new generations while staying true to his original sound.
