Show Notes
Tommy Sands is one of Ireland's most respected folk singers and songwriters, an artist whose music has long crossed boundaries and brought people together.
Growing up in County Down during the Troubles, he came to see song as a powerful way of telling difficult stories, challenging divisions and reminding us of our shared humanity.
Now, with his Every County on the Island Tour, Tommy is bringing that message to communities across Ireland, including Glór in Ennis this Sunday, 1 November.
Tommy Sands joined Alan Morrissey to talk about the journey, the stories behind his songs, and why music's power to connect people matters more than ever.
