Show Notes
On Thursday's Morning Focus, we heard about a very special four-legged local celebrity: Daisy, the 17-year-old Westie belonging to Clare Champion Managing Director and Motoring Editor, John Galvin.
Daisy has launched her debut 2027 calendar, A Year of Walkies, Adventures and Fun, with every cent of the €10 cover price going to Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.
With Daisy herself now losing her sight, the cause is particularly close to John and his wife Shelly’s hearts.
Alan Morrissey has been speaking with John – who was accompanied by Daisy and Tom Mernagh, volunteer with Irish Guide Dogs in Clare.
If you want to find out more about Daisy and her adventures, you can check out her Instagram account, @daisymaygalvin!
