Scripture Central: LDS Come Follow Me & Church History

Summary

Marketers express frustration over ineffective ad spending, coining the term "bullspend" to describe campaigns that generate impressive metrics but fail to deliver tangible results. This sentiment is echoed in discussions about the importance of genuine engagement in marketing strategies, highlighting the disconnect between superficial metrics and actual business outcomes.

The conversation shifts to spiritual reflections, particularly focusing on the teachings found in the Book of Mormon, specifically Alma chapters 43 through 52. Participants emphasize the need for a deeper, more heartfelt approach to faith and scripture study. They explore themes of joy and gratitude in the face of adversity, questioning how individuals can maintain their faith and find joy even when circumstances are challenging.

The discussion culminates in a call for intentionality in spiritual practices, urging listeners to seek meaningful connections with their faith rather than merely going through the motions. The importance of community support in strengthening faith is also highlighted, suggesting that collective efforts can lead to a more profound spiritual experience, especially for younger generations navigating a complex world.

The last days as described in Matthew 24 may make us anxious and afraid. The symbols found in the Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah), assures us Christ brings peace through his loving grace. Just as the blowing of the trumpets signaled to Israel the time to prepare for the holiest of days, the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), so too should we listen to the trumpets that have sounded and spiritually prepare to meet our Lord and Savior.Uploaded 18-09-20Chapters0:00 The Importance of Jewish Feasts0:52 Feasts of the Early Harvest2:07 The Jewish High Holy Days2:39 Number Symbolism in the Feast of Trumpets3:17 History of Rosh Hashanah3:47 Symbolism of the Trumpets6:05 Significance for Latter-day Saints6:49 ConclusionSign up for email notifications for new videos here: https://bit.ly/2uV4vloFor more videos on the Life of Christ: https://bit.ly/2FgnMlSFor the text of this video: Produced and narrated by Daniel SmithWritten by Heather Ruth PackSpecial thanks to:LUMO for allowing me to use their life of Christ footage, watch their amazing videos at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjiDMt6Lm1jYQvSp4BROWVw© 2020 Daniel Smith, Messages of Christ YouTube ChannelNo portion of this video may be reproduced, re-uploaded, or copied without prior permission. The products (services) offered by Messages of Christ are neither made, provided, approved nor endorsed by Intellectual Reserve, Inc. or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
