The belief in vampires has been around for centuries - long before we had the term. The fear of the dead rising up from their graves and wreaking havoc on our communities has been something that societies put quite a bit of thought into probably since the beginning of humankind. We have evidence dating back thousands of years that the undead terrorized our population in one way or another. Though the term has changed, as have the descriptions and ways of dealing with them, vampires still exist today. They’re in our literature and film, they’re a part of most cultures, and some even believe that the supernatural beings still walk among us. So today I wanted to take some time and discuss what the vampire is, what it means and has meant to the people of the world for thousands of years, and tell some of the most famous stories of real-life vampires.

Today, I’ve brought you several stories from our listeners who took a chance with a ouija board and made contact with something much darker than they intended!
