Male Numbness

Relationships Made Simple (for Men)

Show Notes

Most Men deal with emotional numbness. They aren't aware of how they feel, they put effort into growing their ability to feel, and they don't have the language to explain how they feel. They live in their minds. This works until their partner wants more emotional intimacy or they get overwhelmed by a life experience. When things feel like too much, they go numb as a way to cope. As you disconnect from yourself, others feel less connected to you. This will lead to feeling alone, misunderstood, angry, and depressed. That's probably not what you want. The more you understand your strategies to avoid feeling, the better equipped you will be to face difficult emotions. True or no? She's helped me understand the female/ wife perspective, and she's helped me grow into a solid husband. She's the best. If you want to hear exactly how we talk to each other every day, here it is.
