Meditation for the Overthinking Mind: Mantra Meditation for Presence & Awareness

A Zen Mind Guided Meditations

Show Notes

🦚One of the biggest misconceptions about meditation is the idea that we must completely quiet or empty the mind. But the mind was created to think, and it will never simply stop thinking.

So rather than forcing the mind to become silent, this meditation invites you into a gentler approach - shifting the relationship with what is present.

This is a mantra based and sensory oriented meditation, as we begin with an open eye awareness practice, and shift deeper together.

This practice was lovingly created to help you reconnect with presence, soften the over identification with the thinking mind, and cultivate a deeper sense of peace, awareness, and compassion within yourself.

With love,

Jo

🫧 During this practice, we will explore a mindfulness technique called noting, which helps us become more aware of what’s happening as it happens. Here, we’ll gently name the experiences that arise: thinking, hearing, feeling. A thought, a sound, a sensation in the body, all becoming something we can notice.
