Un edificio sin electricidad desde 1986 transmitía radio en 1991. Alguien lo escuchó
Fear and curiosity meet in a quiet Ohio morning: a vacant Renner Building with no power should not have been broadcasting music and a weather report on March 5, 1991 - yet two neighbors heard a live-sounding radio voice and songs coming from its second floor. How could a dark, de-energized studio produce a signal that sounded like local radio, and who was really behind it?
In this episode, we tell what happened the morning a passerby heard music from an empty building and how reporting three years later revealed a man with a key, nightly visits, and cassette recordings - then raise the unanswered question that remained: did those tapes cause what people heard that March morning?
Person: Marie Vogel Date: March 5, 1991 Location: Renner Building, Millhaven, Ohio Person: Norman Patterson Event: Nightly visits and cassette recordings starting January 1990
- A woman named Marie Vogel heard music and a weather forecast from the building at 7:40 a.m. on March 5, 1991 and listened for approximately four minutes. - The Renner Building had its electrical meter pulled in December 1986 and had not had electricity since then. - Marie Vogel had walked the same block every Tuesday and Thursday for eleven years and was 52 years old in March 1991. - Norman Patterson, former WMLH afternoon host (1980-1985), was clocked in at a trucking depot 40 minutes away at 6:50 a.m. the morning the broadcast was heard. - Between January 1990 and March 1991, Norman Patterson visited the dark second-floor studio on Sunday nights with a battery lantern and a cassette recorder, speaking, inventing callers, and recording songs and weather.
