Show Notes
Gunsmoke presents “Kick Me Reused Script,” episode 341 of the classic CBS Radio series, originally broadcast October 19, 1958. Written by John Meston and produced by Norman Macdonnell, this production reworks Meston’s earlier 1953 Gunsmoke script, “Kick Me.”
In Dodge City and the surrounding cattle-trail country, aging Native American scout Tobile seeks work after years of Army service. But a letter meant to help him instead ignites a bitter conflict of honor, prejudice, and revenge, drawing Marshal Matt Dillon into a dangerous dispute. William Conrad stars as Dillon, with Parley Baer, Georgia Ellis, and Howard McNear.
Gunsmoke presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
