Meghan Markle to join Masterchef Australia - where should she reside?
Mick in The Morning with Roo, Titus and RosieSummary
Meghan Markle is set to join the cast of Junior MasterChef as a judge and host in 2027, marking a significant move for Channel 10. This announcement has sparked discussions about the implications of having a royal figure involved in a children's cooking show, with some questioning the appropriateness of her role. The hosts express skepticism about the motivations of contestants on such shows, particularly celebrities, who may be perceived as seeking attention rather than showcasing culinary skills.
The conversation shifts to Markle's previous endeavors, including her past show that did not achieve significant success. The hosts recall a particular episode where she attempted beekeeping, highlighting the disconnect between her polished image and the authenticity expected in such activities. They also speculate on her potential lifestyle in Melbourne, discussing where she might fit in socially and how she would be received by the local community.
In a related note, Markle's father, Thomas Markle, faces troubling allegations that have gained international attention, further complicating her public image. The hosts mention that both political parties in Australia have declined to provide security for her during her stay, prompting humorous suggestions about who might step in to offer protection. The episode concludes with light-hearted banter about the possibility of Prince Harry joining her in Melbourne.
