Hello and welcome to another episode of Do Yourself No Harm. Join me, Dr Claire Ashley, as I talk about making career decisions in times of uncertainty with Dr Sarah Goulding.
Dr Goulding is a former burnt out GP partner who is now a career coach extraordinaire. She specialises in supporting doctors to take steps towards a more satisfied future in their careers, as well as working as a medical educator and public speaker on the issues of career development and change. She has incredible wisdom and insight into the challenges that medical training and careers cause us as a profession, and as such I thought she was the perfect person to have this conversation with today.
Join us as we discuss how COVID has changed how we work, how the changing nature of medicine affects decision making, how to know when you’re in the right place to make decisions about your career when you are working under challenging conditions and the myths of career change.

Hi and welcome to another episode of Do Yourself No Harm, the podcast and YouTube series that helps busy and overwhelmed professionals and entrepreneurs to overcome burnout. I’m Dr Claire Ashley, a GP and burnout survivor and expert.
Join me as I talk about how I think the current cost of living crisis in the UK is going to affect people who are at risk of burnout, and people who are currently burnt out too. I share a bit about the context of the problem, who is going to be affected, and how to try to manage this both on an individual and systems level.
Join me as I talk about how I used journalling and reflective writing to make some difficult decisions about my life and my career post burnout.
Tomorrow is the funeral for Queen Elizabeth II, so today's episode is all about the Queen and her values, how values can protect you from burnout, and how working in alignment with your values post burnout is essential for your recovery.
