Midnight Sun Mining reports major expansion of Dumbwa copper system in Zambia

Midnight Sun Mining Corp Vice President of Business Development Adrian O’Brien joined Steve Darling from Proactive to provide an update on ongoing drilling at the company’s Dumbwa copper deposit in Zambia, where recent results are pointing to a significant expansion of the mineralized system in the Northern Block.
Drilling has identified near-surface copper mineralization extending across an east-west width of more than 2,400 metres, more than double the average width of the previously drilled Dumbwa Mineralized Corridor. The expanded footprint marks an important development as Midnight Sun advances its Phase Two exploration program, with drilling continuing to test the northern extent of the deposit and better define the distribution of copper mineralization across the broader system.
The company said the mineralization remains flat-lying to shallowly dipping and occurs at or very near surface, adding to the potential significance of the latest findings.
O’Brien said drilling to the north appears to have passed through another structural disruption, with the company now encountering copper sulphide mineralization across substantially greater east-west widths, alongside locally thicker mineralized intervals. These observations are providing further insight into the geological structure of the Northern Block and helping guide exploration across the expanding system.
The company also reported distinct zones of stronger copper mineralization within the main corridor. Insights gained during Phase One are now allowing the exploration team to focus Phase Two drilling on areas considered most prospective.
Drilling remains concentrated on the Northern Block of the Dumbwa Mineralized Corridor, where the company continues to assess the overall width of the mineralized zone and the intensity of copper mineralization observed during drill core logging.
Alongside its drilling campaign, Midnight Sun is continuing soil sampling programs to the north and south of Dumbwa. The work is intended to identify additional exploration targets that could extend beyond the currently established mineralized corridor.
