Show Notes

It was a pleasure sitting with Carly and Mike hearing them share some personal stories!

In todays episode we covered a range of different things, including orthopaedic trauma and artificial intelligence and where medicine is going. Mike shares some personal stories (perhaps too personal) and life saving situations. We chat ACL misconceptions and patient accountability. Mike asked how Carly uses pilates in conjunction physiotherapy and I ask, will we have surgeons in the future?

Carly and Mike are Husband & Wife and two very successful individuals in their own way. During our conversation, both shared parts of their personals journeys, alongside navigating their career and parenthood.

Mike a successful orthopaedic surgeon, explains how important having his morning routine is, in order to maintain a work life balance and bring his best self to his patients. He also shares some stories from his career and gives insight to the operating theatre, what it’s like being a surgeon.

Carly a skilled physiotherapist shares her milestone of becoming a business owner and how she navigated this around their two young boys. Alongside a passion for surfing and trail running, Carly shares how she manages to keep her cup full so she can live a fulfilling life.
