Even when we're surrounded by people, we can still feel deeply alone. Loneliness will have you wondering, “Will anyone ever fully see me, know me, and love me in light of what they see?”
In this conversation, Jackie and Preston discuss the ways loneliness can leave us vulnerable, when it might be wise to choose being alone with God instead of running to other people, and how the enemy uses isolation to discourage us. They also explore why it’s important that we develop the trust, security and awareness of God’s presence so we’re not discouraged when people leave.
This is part one of a two-part conversation, so come back next week for even more discussion of loneliness.

More from With The Perrys
What do you do with the pain that remains after you’ve forgiven someone?
What does the Bible teach us about aging, and how might our perspective change if we viewed getting older through a theological lens rather than a cultural one?
Pain changes us, and it can make us bitter before it makes us resilient. We can also become more attached to our pain than to our Savior, and that’s idolatry.
Y’all love a “storytime” episode and it’s been a while since the Perrys recorded one.
We hear a lot about people experiencing “father wounds” but what about those who carry heartache, anger or sorrow because of a wounding mother?
