Welcome to the trailer for my brand new podcast for healthcare professionals, Do Yourself No Harm.
I am GP and burnout survivor. In this trailer I explain the reasons for setting up this podcast, why I'm doing it now, and what to expect in the upcoming episodes.
We will be covering a variety of topics to include anything and everything to do with mental health, mental wellbeing, personal growth, professional growth, careers, how to create a career that works for you (either within the NHS or outside of it) and medical working culture and problems.
I am thrilled to be launching this podcast alongside my brand new subscription and membership for healthcare professionals. Further details about this can be found over on my website, doyourselfnoharm.com.
I am incredibly excited to finally be getting this project off the ground. It’s been a long time in the making. If you are as excited as I am to listen to this podcast, please hit like and subscribe, and if you enjoy the episodes please leave a review to that effect. I look forward to as many of you joining me on this podcasting journey!

Hi and welcome to another episode of Do Yourself No Harm, the podcast and YouTube series that helps busy and overwhelmed professionals and entrepreneurs to overcome burnout. I’m Dr Claire Ashley, a GP and burnout survivor and expert.
Join me as I talk about how I think the current cost of living crisis in the UK is going to affect people who are at risk of burnout, and people who are currently burnt out too. I share a bit about the context of the problem, who is going to be affected, and how to try to manage this both on an individual and systems level.
Join me as I talk about how I used journalling and reflective writing to make some difficult decisions about my life and my career post burnout.
Tomorrow is the funeral for Queen Elizabeth II, so today's episode is all about the Queen and her values, how values can protect you from burnout, and how working in alignment with your values post burnout is essential for your recovery.
