Show Notes
This week on The Mother Daze, Teresa is getting ready to return to God of War with a freshly dyed head of hair and a heaping dose of self-care! The girls chat new beauty finds, Teresa’s new at-home facial friend from Shark Beauty, and Sarah shares some of the trusty everyday serums she keeps coming back to.
We chat about how too much makeup can make us feel less like ourselves, and those glossy, retouched magazine shoots that look beautiful… but also have us wondering, “Wait, is that actually me?”
It’s also Sarah’s birthday!! 43 woop woop! She’s another year older and feeling pretty content with exactly where she is, craving more simple days with the people she loves. Her book tour is also wrapping up, which gets us talking about how weirdly uncomfortable it can feel to actually be proud of ourselves and give ourselves a little pat on the back.
We’ve also got some long-overdue Dazey member shout-outs (WE LOVE YOU GUYS!!), plus we unpack some of the shifts we’ve both been feeling lately. Is there something in the air?! Because it certainly feels like the universe is moving things around.

More from The Mother Daze with Sarah Wright Olsen & Teresa Palmer
This week on The Mother Daze, we’re chatting all things toddler WILDNESS! Running away for solo adventures in the wilderness, diving off patios, chucking rocks in mouths, falling, tripping, slipping, sliding, donking and generally causing absolute MAYHEM! Just the basic insanity of having a one-year-old in an already chaotic household full of kids. Funnnn guys funnnn, insanely cute but send help!
This week on The Mother Daze, Tez talks shooting a movie alongside her boys! Whaaa?! The girls chat the magic of sharing the set together, watching our kids follow their passions and the incredible joy of seeing them step into who they’re becoming. Plus, the girls get into some WILD stage parent stories, competitive Pokémon folks, sideline sporting fanatics and the hilarious (and sometimes downright bonkers!) lengths some people go to in perhaps trying to live out their own dreams through their kids! Weeee
This week, Sarah’s book is officially OUT and she’s hitting the press tour! Weeeee! Tez talks licking back up on God of War and the separation anxiety that comes with the idea of saying goodbye to her older kids even just for a week.
This week on The Mother Daze, we’re joined by a repeat guest, our friend, Daniel Ahearn! Dan is the author of The Way Back Home, a father of two and an attachment-focused family therapist. Daniel’s work is all about helping parents and teens stay connected through the beautiful, messy and sometimes completely bewildering years of adolescence.
This week it’s just the gals and we’re realizing that despite living on opposite sides of the world, we are somehow living PARALLEL LIVES. Oldest kids starting high school? Check. Dreaming up new homes? Check. Small beach-town days where you can’t leave the house without bumping into someone you know? Check. Youngest babies taking their first steps at exactly the same time? CHECK.
