What do you reach for when fear, temptation, or accusation hits?
In this message from The Resilient Life, Pastor Nick Tallo explores Ephesians 6:17: “Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Through Jesus’ response to temptation, we learn how to answer lies with Scripture, remember who our true enemy is, and stand firm in the victory Jesus has already won.
In this message: Knowing Scripture helps us recognize and answer lies. God’s Word should lead people toward truth and Jesus, not tear them down. We can face today’s battles knowing Jesus has already won.
Your next step: Identify one lie you’re most likely to believe. Find a Scripture that speaks to it, keep it where you’ll see it, and practice answering that lie with God’s truth this week. Scripture: Ephesians 6:12, 17; Matthew 4:1–11
