iPhone Duo Durability Flaws Plague the Hinge, Display Lines, Touch ID & App Optimization.
eSIM STUDIOS Podcast - Tech News + ReviewsSummary
The recent launch of Apple's iPhone Duo has been marred by numerous complaints from users regarding significant design flaws and functionality issues. Many customers report problems with the device's hinge, which appears to be causing AMOLED display failures. Users describe hearing crunching or popping sounds when opening the device, leading to visible screen damage. Some have found their phones stuck in an open position, with repair options delayed until January, leaving them without a functional device for months.
In addition to hinge-related issues, users are expressing dissatisfaction with the phone's camera quality, the lack of Face ID, and problems with the Touch ID feature, which often fails to recognize fingerprints. The app optimization at launch has also been criticized, suggesting that the device may have been rushed to market without adequate testing. Comparisons to Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8 highlight that Apple's offering may not measure up, as the latter has reportedly addressed many of the issues present in earlier foldable models.
Overall, the feedback from early adopters indicates that the iPhone Duo is facing a challenging reception, with many users questioning the durability and reliability of the device. As complaints continue to surface, it raises concerns about the long-term viability of the product and whether Apple may regret its decision to release the iPhone Duo at this stage.
