#141 SHEPMATES - Content Creators

This week Brian and Harrison intro the show by covering all the major topics in their lives and within the AFL, including; BT's new shed firefighting system, Harrison's lock footy premiership, AFL Finals, AFL retirees, NFL in Melbourne, a motorsports update, is AI going kill us, a CHAT-BT, and plenty more.

Their guests this week are Miles & Archie Shepherd - the identical twins behind ‘Shepmates', who’ve turned bedroom content, local footy and a love of sport into a genuine sports and media platform.

The boys chat about where their passion for content creation started, the moment their Mitchell Starc Ashes clip went viral, and why their comedy skits and sports commentary re-enactments have connected with so many people. They also get into how much work actually goes into making the clips, the number of takes, and where they reckon Shepmates can go from here.

Then there’s the fairytale of how two local footballers somehow ended up on the same field as Dustin Martin, Lance Franklin and Gary Ablett Jr in the 2026 AFL Legends Game. The boys talk about what it was like sharing a huddle with some of the biggest names in the game, BT getting names wrong from the commentary box, the infamous Dusty and Miles stoush, and what happened once the game was over.

There’s plenty more on growing up as twins, playing local footy, the people who’ve helped them along the way, their thoughts on the future of content, and plenty more. A really fun chat with two ripping young blokes who are finding their own way into the sports media world.
