Don't Tell Me To RELAX- Your Fertility Podcast

Show Notes

***BONUS CHRISTMAS EPISODE*** We are releasing this in the middle of Christmas in case anyone is looking for some extra emotional support during this time.

I am with one of our affiliate acupuncturists, Danielle Croft from Banbury, to discuss the emotional challenges faced during fertility journeys and how Chinese medicine can provide support.

We discuss

How fertility journeys can evoke a range of difficult emotions. Why anger is a natural response to fertility challenges and should be expressed. How finding joy is crucial for mental well-being during fertility struggles. How worry and overthinking can be managed by setting boundaries and focusing on self-care. Why grief is a valid emotion in the context of fertility and should be acknowledged. The ways connecting with something greater can help cope with grief. How movement and exercise can help release pent-up emotions like fear and anger. You can download Danielle's resources here.

We explore baby loss, pregnancy loss, the grief that comes in waves, and practical ways to stay connected while also making room for hope. We discuss: what grief coaching is & her training why loss is loss, whether it was a chemical pregnancy, an unsuccessful transfer, or another form of baby loss. the importance of continuing bonds, including ways to keep a connection through names, rituals, special places, jewellery, scan boxes, or planting something meaningful. how grief can come back suddenly through anniversaries, scans, songs, places, or body memories, and that this does not mean anything is wrong. how there is tension between grief and hope, and how two emotions can exist at the same time without one cancelling the other.
