Jose Pila - Honoring The Military Service Dog That Saved My Life

Jose Pila is an Army veteran and founder of the whiskey brand Warrior Dog Spirit.

After enlisting in the Army in the summer of 2001, Jose quickly found himself in the initial deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq following 9/11. Serving numerous combat tours both in the Army and private contracting, Jose found himself lost once his military career came to an end.

Jose would receive a service dog through the non-profit Pets For Vets. He accredits his Alaskan Malamute named Ranger for saving his life more than once. To honor Ranger he founded Warrior Dog Spirit. A whiskey company honoring service dogs throughout history. Each unique whiskey will honor a different service dog and share their story.

Jose also founded the Warrior Dog Spirit Foundation. Portions of every sale go directly to non-profits supporting veterans, service dogs and retired K9's.
