Cathy Valdes is the chapter president of NOPE Hillsborough.
Cathy spent 42 years in public education and retired as deputy superintendent of Hillsborough County schools. Cathy has dedicated her retirement volunteering with the non-profit Narcotics Overdose Prevention Education (NOPE). Educating Hillsborough County students on the dangers of narcotic overdosing. Cathy lost her son to narcotic addiction in 2008.
Since 2013, NOPE Hillsborough has educated over 175,000 students, provided over $92,000 in scholarships and continues to share presentations to all 100+ middle & high schools.
