Hey there, I'm Julia Cartwright, and I'm so glad you're here with me today. Welcome to Relaxation. You know, it's early Friday morning where you are, and there's this particular kind of tension that Friday mornings carry, isn't there? That low hum of the week catching up with you, maybe some anxiety about what's still on your plate before the weekend. So today, we're going to do something really simple but powerful. We're going to teach your nervous system that it's safe to let go.
Let's start by getting comfortable wherever you are. You don't need to sit in any fancy position. Just find a place where your body feels supported, where your spine can lengthen naturally. If you're sitting, feel your feet on the ground. If you're lying down, let gravity do the heavy lifting. There's nothing you need to do right now except be here.
Now, let's find our breath together. Take one full, intentional inhale through your nose, and as you exhale through your mouth, make a gentle sighing sound. Do that with me now. Feel that? That sigh is permission. It's your body's way of saying, okay, I can rest now. Let's do that two more times, at your own pace. In through the nose, out through the mouth with that soft sigh.
Now we're going to try something I call the Melting Technique, because relaxation is less about forcing your muscles to behave and more about inviting them to soften like warm butter on toast. As you breathe naturally, I want you to imagine warm, golden light entering the top of your head with each inhale. That light is liquid relaxation. Starting at your forehead, feel it melting through your face, smoothing away any tension between your brows. Exhale, and that warmth drips down like honey, loosening your jaw, your neck. Your shoulders are next. Breathe in, feel that warmth pooling in your chest, and as you exhale, let them drop. There's nothing to hold onto.
Keep that golden light moving down your arms, your hands, your fingers. Melt through your belly, your lower back, your hips. And now your legs, your thighs, your calves, all the way down to your toes. You're not doing anything here. You're just noticing what happens when you give yourself permission to soften.
Take three more breaths with that image, letting the light move wherever it wants to go.
When you're ready, gently wiggle your fingers and toes. Open your eyes softly. Here's what I want you to carry forward today: every time you notice tension in your body, remember that gold light. Just one conscious breath where you imagine softening. That's all you need.

Hey there, I'm Julia Cartwright, and welcome to Relaxation. I'm so glad you're here, especially right now—early Thursday morning, October twenty-third. You know what? These pre-dawn hours can feel a little tender. That transition between sleep and the day ahead. A lot of us carry invisible tension in those quiet moments, almost like our bodies are bracing for what's coming. Today, I want to help you soften into your day instead.
Well hello there, friend. I'm Julia Cartwright, and I'm so glad you've found your way here today. You know, it's early morning on a Tuesday, and I'm willing to bet that your mind is already spinning like a ceiling fan on high, isn't it? Maybe you woke up thinking about everything on your plate, or perhaps you're carrying tension from yesterday that just didn't quite release. Whatever brought you here, I want you to know that taking this time for yourself right now? That's already the hardest part done.
Hey there, I'm Julia Cartwright, and I'm so glad you're here. You know, it's early Saturday morning, and I'm guessing you might be feeling that familiar tug between wanting to ease into your day and the pressure to get moving. Maybe there's something on your mind, or maybe you're just running on empty. Either way, you've made the right choice by pressing play. This is your space for relaxation, and I promise you, the world can wait for the next few minutes.
Hey there, friend. Welcome. I'm Julia Cartwright, and I'm so glad you're here. You know, it's Thursday morning, and if you're anything like my friends right now, you might be feeling that particular kind of tired where your shoulders have basically become your earrings and your to-do list feels like it was written by someone who doesn't sleep. So today, we're doing something special. We're not rushing through relaxation. We're actually going to sink into it. Together.
