Hey there, friend. I'm Julia Cartwright, and I'm so glad you're here with me today. You know, it's early morning on this October day, and I'm willing to bet your mind might already be spinning with the day ahead. Maybe there's that meeting waiting, or a decision you've been sitting with, or just that low hum of everything that needs your attention. So today, I want to give you something simple: permission to actually relax. Not the kind where you're checking your phone. Real relaxation. The kind where your nervous system gets the memo that you're safe.
Let's start by finding a comfortable seat, somewhere you won't be disturbed for the next few minutes. If you're lying down, that's beautiful too. Go ahead and settle in. Let your shoulders drop away from your ears, like you're melting them down your back. Take a moment and just notice where you're holding tension right now. Your jaw? Your chest? Your hands? Don't fix it yet. Just notice. That awareness is already the beginning of release.
Now, let's breathe together. I want you to try something I call the warm sand breath. Imagine you're on a beach at sunset, and with each inhale, you're breathing in the warmth of the sand, the salt air, that golden light. Breathe in slowly through your nose for a count of four. Hold it for just a moment. Then exhale through your mouth, like you're gently blowing away a feather. Do this three times at your own pace. There's no rush. This isn't about doing it right. It's about doing it real.
Now, keep breathing naturally, but I want you to try something special. With each exhale, imagine you're releasing something you've been carrying. Not fighting it. Just letting it float away like dandelion seeds on the breeze. Maybe it's that email you're worried about. Maybe it's tension from yesterday. Maybe it's just the weight of trying to hold everything together. Breathe in calm. Breathe out release. Do this for the next couple of minutes, at whatever pace feels true to you.
Notice how your body feels now. Your shoulders. Your breath. Your heart. You might not feel dramatically different, and that's okay. Relaxation isn't about transformation. It's about permission. It's about remembering that you don't have to earn rest. You get to have it simply because you're here, breathing, showing up.
As you move into your day, carry this with you: that warm sand breath. Use it before your meeting, during that tough conversation, or just because. Your nervous system will remember this moment of safety.
Thank you so much for practicing relaxation with me today. If this resonated with you, please subscribe and join me again tomorrow. You deserve this.

Hey there, I'm Julia Cartwright, and welcome to Relaxation. I'm so glad you're here, especially right now—early Thursday morning, October twenty-third. You know what? These pre-dawn hours can feel a little tender. That transition between sleep and the day ahead. A lot of us carry invisible tension in those quiet moments, almost like our bodies are bracing for what's coming. Today, I want to help you soften into your day instead.
Well hello there, friend. I'm Julia Cartwright, and I'm so glad you've found your way here today. You know, it's early morning on a Tuesday, and I'm willing to bet that your mind is already spinning like a ceiling fan on high, isn't it? Maybe you woke up thinking about everything on your plate, or perhaps you're carrying tension from yesterday that just didn't quite release. Whatever brought you here, I want you to know that taking this time for yourself right now? That's already the hardest part done.
Hey there, I'm Julia Cartwright, and I'm so glad you're here. You know, it's early Saturday morning, and I'm guessing you might be feeling that familiar tug between wanting to ease into your day and the pressure to get moving. Maybe there's something on your mind, or maybe you're just running on empty. Either way, you've made the right choice by pressing play. This is your space for relaxation, and I promise you, the world can wait for the next few minutes.
Hey there, friend. Welcome. I'm Julia Cartwright, and I'm so glad you're here. You know, it's Thursday morning, and if you're anything like my friends right now, you might be feeling that particular kind of tired where your shoulders have basically become your earrings and your to-do list feels like it was written by someone who doesn't sleep. So today, we're doing something special. We're not rushing through relaxation. We're actually going to sink into it. Together.
Well hello there, friend. I'm Julia Cartwright, and I'm so glad you've carved out this little pocket of time for yourself today. Early morning on a Tuesday, huh? That's the time when the world feels like it's already asking something of you before you've even had your coffee, isn't it? Today, we're going to practice something I call "The Unclench." It's my favorite way to remind your whole body that it's actually allowed to let go.
