MAC ALLISTER CONTRACT OFFER SOON? + CHELSEA BUILD-UP! Liverpool FC Latest Transfer News
Anfield Agenda - Liverpool FC PodcastSummary
Liverpool is reportedly preparing to offer Alexis McAllister a new contract, despite conflicting reports suggesting otherwise. Egyptian journalist Ishmael Mahmood claims that manager Andoni Iriola values McAllister highly and sees him as essential to the team's plans. However, Sasha Tavalieri has stated that Liverpool has no current plans to extend McAllister's deal and is considering a midfield overhaul in the summer of 2027. The situation is further complicated by interest from Real Madrid, which could influence McAllister's future at the club.
As Liverpool gears up for a crucial Carabao Cup match against Chelsea, Iriola emphasizes the importance of winning as a habit, regardless of the competition. He outlines a tactical approach focused on strong defense and aggressive play, aiming to create a culture of success within the team. The match presents an opportunity for Liverpool to secure early silverware this season, and Iriola expresses confidence in his squad's ability to perform well at home.
Xabi Alonso, now managing Bayer Leverkusen, speaks positively about his former player Florian Veerts, highlighting the growth he has shown since joining Liverpool. The match against Chelsea also raises questions about Jordan Henderson's potential role, as he returns to Anfield as a Chelsea player. Fans are eager to see how the game unfolds and what impact it will have on both teams' seasons.
