Seahawks Win Franchise Record 12 in a Row, Dark Side Defense Now 2-0 & JSN is a Playmaker

Welcome to Episode 3 of THE DARK SIDE: a podcast on the Seattle Seahawks! Your Super Bowl champion hosts Derick Hall and Byron Murphy II from the Seahawks’ Dark Side defense join KOMO Sports Director Niko Tamurian to reflect on the 2-0 Seahawks start to the season.

The pair discuss how it takes a team effort to eliminate big pass plays like the Seahawks have done so far this season. Derick also talks about working at his craft as a pass rusher and how that practice helped Julian Love secure an interception in the Arizona win. Both Byron and Derick also pick a teammate they think deserves a shout this week.

After dissecting the Cardinals win, our hosts look ahead to the Hawks Week 3 matchup vs. the Washington Commanders. The guys discuss their respect for veteran QB Marcus Mariota as he likely starts over an injured Jayden Daniels as well as their memories of playing at Northwest Stadium in 2025.

Finally, a young defensive lineman asked if Byron could give him some tips to improve his game on the field and Byron answered. Derick even shared a pass rush tip of his own.
