The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes | Old Time RadioShow Notes
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes presents “The Tell Tale Pigeon Feathers,” originally broadcast January 21, 1946. Episode 202 of the series stars Basil Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes and Nigel Bruce as Dr. Watson.
When pigeon feathers begin turning up in a Bayswater boarding house, Mrs. Hudson brings the unsettling matter to Mycroft Holmes. A cryptic warning soon draws Sherlock and Watson into a curious London investigation involving a mysterious lodger and captive birds. This original radio mystery by Anthony Boucher and Denis Green gives Mycroft an unusually prominent role.
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
